உயர் வெப்பனிலைகளில் மேற்கொள்ளப்படும் அடுத்தடுத்த கழுவிப்பகுத்தல் செயல்முறைகளால் குரோமேட்டுகள் கரைந்து கரையாத இரும்பு ஆக்சைடு வீழ்படிவாகிறது.

நிறமற்ற நீர்மமாக உள்ள் இச்சேர்மம் தண்ணீரில் சரியாகக் கரையாது ஆனால் பெரும்பாலான கரிமக் கரைப்பான்களில் கரையக்கூடியதாக உள்ளது.

லிகோபீனைக் கொண்டுள்ள பெரும்பாலான பச்சை காய்கறிகளும், பிறவும் கொழுப்பு மற்றும் எண்ணெய்கள் குறைவாக கொண்டவையாக இருக்கின்றன, மேலும் லிகோபீன் நீரில் கரையாததாகவும், காய்கறி நார்ச்சத்துடன் இணைந்ததாகவும் இருக்கிறது.
