1961இல் அந்நாளைய முதல்வர் பிமலப் பிரசாத் சாலிகா தலைமையிலான அசாம் அரசு அசாமியை கட்டாயமாக்கி ஆணைப் பிறப்பித்தார்.

இந்த திட்டத்தின் கீழ், இந்தியாவில் அசாம், ஒராங் தேசிய பூங்காவில் “காட்டுப் புலிகளைச் சுற்றுச்சூழலில் கண்காணிப்பு” என்ற திட்டம் தொடங்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

அசாம் அலுவலகங்களில் அசாமிய மொழி பேசும் மக்கள் மட்டும் நியமிக்கப்பட்டனர்.

அசாம் கால்பந்து சங்கம் , மட்டைப்பந்து சங்கம் ஆகியவற்றின் தலைவராக பலமுறை தேர்வு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளார்.

1919ஆம் ஆண்டு அசாம் இலக்கிய மன்றத்தின் அமர்வுக்கு தலைமை தாங்கினார்.

அசாம் வரலாறு புளூமின் வகைப்பாடு (Bloom's taxonomy) என்பது கல்விகற்றல் நோக்கங்களைக் குறிப்பிட்ட நிலைகளாக வகைப்படுத்தப் பயன்படும் மூன்று படிநிலை கொண்ட மாதிரிகளின் தொகுப்பாகும்.
