அவர்களது பணியுடன் இரயில் "வெடித்துச் சிதறுவதாகவும்" அவர்களது புகழை சுரங்கப்பாதை எடுத்துக்கொள்வதாகவும் இருந்தது ஈர்க்கக்கூடியவையாக இருந்தன அல்லது "நகரம் முழுவதும்" போதுமான அளவு பரவக்கூடியதாகவும் இருந்தன.

அமினோ அமில வளர்சிதை மாற்றப் பாதையில் பயன்படும் சில நொதிகளின் (enzymes) மரபுவழிக் கோளாறுகளால், பீனைல் கீட்டோன் நீரிழிவு (phenyl ketonuria), மாப்பிள் சாறு சிறுநீர் நோய் (maple syrup urine disease), இசுட்டிடின் (histidinuria), ஓமோசைட்டின் (homocytinuria) போன்ற அமினோ அமில நீரிழிவுகள் காணப்படும்.
