இப்பகுதியில் அமைந்துள்ள மோகடிகா என்ற ஏரி ஆதிகாலத்தில் வறண்டிருந்ததாக கருதப்படுகிறது.

வறண்ட காடு ஆய்வு நிறுவனம் என்றும் இதை அழைக்கலாம்.
