ஆங்கில இதழ்கள் உலக போட்டி என்பது  நம்பிக்கையற்ற கொள்கை சட்ட மற்றும் பொருளாதார பார்வையில் பொதுமக்களிடமிருந்து பொருளாதாரம் தொடர்பான சிக்கல்களைக் கொண்ட ஒரு உயர்ந்த மதிப்பாய்வு கல்வி பத்திரிகை ஆகும்.

சமுதாயத்திற்கு இவர் செய்த பங்களிப்பிற்காக இந்திய அரசு 1970 ஆம் ஆண்டில் இந்தியாவின் மூன்றாவது மிக உயர்ந்த குடிமை கௌரவமான பத்ம பூசண் விருது இவருக்கு வழங்கியது .
