1940- 45களில் சர்ச்சிலின் போர்க்கால அமைச்சரவையில் அங்கம் ஏற்றது.

லாத்வியா ஐரோப்பிய ஒன்றியத்தில் மே 1, 2004 இலிருந்து அங்கம் வகிக்கின்றது.

ஆங்கிக அபிநயத்தில் அங்கம்,உபாங்கம்,பிரத்தியாங்கம் என்னும் மூன்று சிறப்பு பிரிவுகள் உள்ளன.

பன்னாட்டுக் கால்பந்து சங்கங்களின் கூட்டமைப்பில் அங்கம் வகிக்கும் நாடுகளின் தேசிய அணிகள் ஆடும் ஆட்டங்களின் முடிவுகளைக்கொண்டு இந்த தரவீடு செய்யப்படுகிறது.
