அகாதமி விருதுகள் மீன் காகம் (Fish crow)(கோர்வசு ஆசிப்ராங்கசு) கிழக்கு மற்றும் தென்கிழக்கு அமெரிக்காவின் ஈரநில வாழ்விடங்களில் வாழும் காகமாகும்.

அவர்களின் ஆய்வில் இந்த வாகைக்குளத்தில் வெள்ளை அரிவாள் மூக்கன், நீர்க்காகம், பாம்புத் தாரா, கூழைக்கடா, சாம்பல் நாரை, நத்தைக் குத்தி நாரை என 20 சிற்றினங்களைச் சார்ந்த சுமார் பத்தாயிரம் பறவைகள் தங்கி இனப்பெருக்கம் செய்வது கண்டறியப்பட்டது.

காகம் பரவா மலை, நாகம் தீண்டா மலை என்று பல அதிசயங்களால் பெயர் பெற்ற இந்த மலையில் சிவபெருமான் பல திருவிளையாடல்கள் நிகழ்த்தியுள்ளதாக நம்பப்படுகிறது.
