வாதம், பித்தம், சளி(கபம்) ஆகிய முக்குற்றங்களினால் உண்டாகும் நோய்கள், ஈளை, கண் புகைச்சல், குருதிப் பித்தம், சிறு நச்சுப் பூச்சிகளின் கடி ஆகியவற்றுக்கு நல்லதொரு மருந்தாக இது காணப்படுகிறது.

கருத்தரிப்புக் காலத்தில் குருதிப்போக்கினால் மருத்துவ சிகிச்சை நாடுபவர்களில் அரைவாசிப்பேருக்கு கருச்சிதைவு நிகழ்வதாக அறியப்படுகிறது.
