என்பதை உணர்ந்து, அனுமானம், சான்றோர்களின் கூற்று, சாத்திரங்கள் மற்றும் கூர்மையான கத்தி போன்ற ஞானத்தாலும் அனைத்து துயரங்களுக்கும் ஆதாரமான அகங்காரத்தை வெட்டித் தள்ளிவிட்டு, இதயத்தில் விளங்கும் பரமாத்மாவை வழிபட வேண்டும்.

உடல் மற்றும் வீடு போன்ற பொருட்களில் “ நான் - எனது ” (அகங்காரம் - மமகாரம்) என்ற கர்வம் இன்றி வாழ வேண்டும்.

இந்திரன் மற்றும் தேவர்கள் அனைவரும் தங்களின் அகங்காரம் நீங்கப்பெற்று, வெட்கப்பட்டு அவர்கள் தலை குனிந்து,சதியிடம், "உண்மையில், நீங்கள் சக்தி, நாங்கள் அனைவரும் - பிரம்மா, விஷ்ணு மற்றும் சிவன் உங்களிடமிருந்து சக்தியைப் பெறுவதன் மூலம் வல்லவர்களாக உள்ளனர் " என்று பிரார்த்தனை செய்தனர்.

‘உனது செயல்களை யெல்லாம் எனக்கு அர்ப்பணித்து விட்டு என்னில் நிலைத்த மனதுடன், பயனில் பற்றற்று, அகங்காரத்தை விட்டு, மனக் கொதிப்பில்லாமல் போரிடு’ (3 – 30).

சோகம், மகிழ்ச்சி, அச்சம், கோபம், லோபம், மோகம், வேட்கை, பிறப்பு-இறப்பு இவையெல்லாம் அகங்காரத்துக்கே அன்றி, ஆத்மாவுக்கு அல்ல.

அதுபோல "நான் யார்"? என்று விசாரணை செய்யாத வரை "நான்" என்கிற அகங்காரம் நம்மை அதிகாரம் செய்யும் என விளக்கமளித்துள்ளார்.

நமது கோபம், நமது பயம், நமது வெறுப்பு, ஆத்திரம், அகங்காரம், அன்பு, கனிவு, துக்கம், சோகம் ஆகிய உணர்ச்சிகளை உற்பத்தி செய்வது 'அமிக்டலா' தான்.
