உலகிலேயே மிகச்சிறிய காட்டுப்பூனை இனமான கரும்பாதப் பூனைகளை அடுத்து மிகச்சிறிய பூனைகள் துரும்பன் பூனைகளே.

இலங்கையிலுள்ள ஆர்ட்டன் சமவெளி தேசியக் காப்பகத்தில் பொழுதடைந்த பின் விடியலுக்கு முன்னே இடைப்பட்ட வேளையிலேயே துரும்பன் பூனைகளின் நடமாட்டம் பதிவாகியுள்ளது.
