கோட்டைகள் சி/2007 கே5 (லவ்யாய்) (C/2007 K5 (Lovejoy)) என்பது 2007 ஆம் ஆண்டு மே மாதம் 26 ஆம் நாள் கண்டுபிடிக்கப்பட்ட ஒரு காலமுறை வால்நட்சத்திரம் ஆகும்.

புதன் (Mercury), வியாழன் (Jupiter), யுரேனசு (Uranus) ஆகிய கோள்களின் பாதைகளைக் கண்காணித்த டேவிட், விண்கற்கள், வால்நட்சத்திரங்கள், சூரிய, சந்திர கிரகணங்கள் குறித்தும் ஆராய்ந்தார்.

மேலும் 'ஊர்ட்' மேகப் பகுதியில் இருந்து வரும் இந்த வால்நட்சத்திரம் சூரிய குடும்பம் தோன்றியபோது உருவானது.

மறு பக்கத்தில் ஏழு கதிர்களைக் கொண்ட ஒரு வால்நட்சத்திரம் காட்டப்படுகிறது.

பெப்ரவரி 20 'ndash; புவிக்கு அருகே தொலைவில் 1491ன் வால்நட்சத்திரம் வந்ததாக குறிப்புகள் உள்ளன.

In the Berlin Memoirs for 1778 and 1783 Lagrange gave the first direct and theoretically perfect method of determining cometary orbits.

In addition to magnesium and sodium the lines of potassium, lithium and also the carbon flutings exhibited in cometary spectra, has been seen.

His great contribution to astronomy dates from 1866, when he showed that meteors or shooting stars traverse space in cometary orbits, and, in particular, that the orbits of the Perseids and Comet III.

The rocky particles in this ring may have originated on Io or from meteoritic or cometary debris.

He studied medicine at Göttingen, 1 7771 7 80, attending at the same time Kaestner's mathematical course; and in 1779, while watching by the sick-bed of a fellow-student, he devised a method of calculating cometary orbits which made an epoch in the treatment of the subject, and is still extensively used.

In other words, the light may be an exceedingly tenuous cometary tail to the earth, visible only because seen through its very great length.
