அருணாசலனார் இந்த இருநூல்களை எழுதி வெளியிடாமல் கையெழுத்துப் படியாக வைத்தவண்ணம் இயற்கை எய்தினார்.

பி ஆறாம் நூற்றாண்டில், Romaka Siddhanta ("உரோம நெறிமுறைகள்"), Paulisa Siddhanta ("பவுலிய நெறிமுறைகள்]]") ஆகிய இருநூல்களை உள்ளக்கி Pañca-siddhāntikā ("ஐந்தொகை நூல்கள்") என்ற நூலில் கிரேக்க, எகிப்திய, எலனிய, இந்திய வானியல் அறிவைத் தொகுத்தளித்தார்.

மற்ற இருநூல்கள் ஒரே தலைப்பில், "கணிதவியலாளரை எதிர்த்து" (Adversus Mathematicos), என அழைக்கப்படுகின்றன.

மேலும் இருநூல்களிலும் சில அடிகளும் கருத்துகளும் ஒன்றுபோலவே அமைந்துள்ளன.

"கணிதவியலாளரை எதிர்த்து", "பிரோனிய அடிப்படைகள்" ஆகிய இருநூல்கள் மட்டுமே கையெழுத்துப்படிகளில் உள்ளன.

தனது இருநூல்களான செவ்வாய்க் கோள் (லெ பிளானட்டே மார்சு-1930), புதன் கோள் (லெ பிளானட்டே மெர்கியூர்-1934) ஆகியவற்றில் பல்லாண்டுக் காலப் பட்டறிவைப் பதிவாக்கியுள்ளார்.
