பன்னாட்டு இயற்கைப் பாதுகாப்புச் சங்கத்தின் செம்பட்டியல் - அழிவாய்ப்பு இனம் சபைக்கால்சுக்கி பிரதேசம் (Zabaykalsky Krai (Забайкальский край, சபைக்கால்ஸ்கி கிராய்) என்பது உருசிய கூட்டமைப்பு ஆட்சிப் பகுதி (கிராய்) ஆகும்.

பைக்கால் பேரேரி சுமார் 25-30 மில்லியன் ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன் தோன்றியதாகக் கருதப்படுகின்றது.

1966 ல் கட்டப்பட்ட பேகல்ஷ்க் காகித மற்றும் காகிதகூழ் தொழிற்சாலையானது குளோரின் கொண்டு காகித வெளுக்கும் கழிவுகளை நேரடியாக பைக்கால் கரையில் கொட்டியதால் பலத்த எதிர்ப்பு கிளம்பியது பிறகு தொழில் நஷ்டம் காரணமாக 2008 நவம்பரில் மூடப்பட்டது.

பைக்கால் ஏரியில் உள்ள நீரின் அளவானது அமெரிக்காவில் உள்ள ஐந்து பேரேரிகளில் உள்ள மொத்த நீரின் அளவைக்காட்டிலும் அதிகமானது, ஆனால் அமெரிக்கப் பேரேரிகளின் ஆழம் குறைவானதால், அமெரிக்கப் பேரேரிகளை ஒப்பிடும்பொழுது பைக்கால் ஏரியின் நீர்ப்பரப்பின் அளவு குறைவு.

அந்நேரத்தில் பைக்கால் ஏரியின் இருபக்கமும் இருந்த பகுதிகள் மங்கோலியாவில் இருந்து பிரிக்கப்பட்டன.

மனிதனால் பொருட்கள் செய்யப்பட்டதற்கான முதல் தடயங்கள் தெற்கு ஆப்பிரிக்கா, மேற்கு மத்திய தரைக்கடல் , மத்திய மற்றும் கிழக்கு ஐரோப்பாவில் ( அட்ரியாடி கடல் ) , சைபீரியா ( பைக்கால் ஏரி ) , இந்தியா மற்றும் ஆஸ்திரேலியா ஆகிய இடங்களில் கண்டுபிடிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

செலெங்கே ஆறு உருசியாவுக்குள் நுழைந்து பைக்கால் ஏரியில் கலக்கிறது.

அரசு அல்லது அரசு நிறுவனங்கள் தொடர்புடைய பல அமைப்புக்கள் பைக்கால் ஏரியின் இயற்கை ஆராய்ச்சி திட்டங்களை நடத்தி வருகின்றனர்.
