ஆண்களின் ஆண்மைத் திறனைக் குறைத்து, கருவுக்குத் தீங்கும் விளைவிக்கும் என்று கருதப்பட்டு இவரது நச்சு எதிர்ப்பு பிரச்சாரம் காலணி தொடர்புடைய பிற பொருட்களுக்கும் நீட்டிக்கப்பட்டது.

ப்ரோக்கோலியில் காணப்படும் 3,3'-டையின்டோலிமீத்தேன் நச்சு எதிர்ப்பு, நுண்ணியிரிகள் எதிர்ப்பு மற்றும் புற்றுநோய்க்கு எதிரான நடவடிக்கைகள் ஆகியவற்றுடன் உள்ளார்ந்த நோய்த்தடுப்பு பிரதிவினை முறையின் ஆற்றல்மிக்க சரிபடுத்தும் பொருளாகவும் இருக்கிறது.

காலரா, காசநோய் உள்ளிட்ட ஏராளமான நோய்களுக்கு நச்சு எதிர்ப்புப் பொருட்கள் மற்றும் தடுப்பூசிகள் இந்த காலத்தில் உருவாக்கப்பட்டதால் இவை நோய்கள் பற்றிய அதீத புரிதல் மற்றும் நுண்ணுயிர் கிருமிகள் தடுப்பு போக்குகளை கட்டமைத்தது.

இவ்வாறு நிறுத்தப்பட்ட நச்சுப் பொருட்கள் நச்சு எதிர்ப்புப் பொருட்களை (Anti toxin) வெளியிட வல்லது.
