ਜਦ ਭਾਈ ਕਾਨ੍ਹ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਹੁਣ ਰਾਜਾ ਹਿੰਦੂਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਔਖਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਫਿਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਡਿਪਟੀ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ ਦੇ ਅਹੁਦੇ ਤੋਂ ਅਸਤੀਫ਼ਾ ਦੇ ਦਿਤਾ।
