ਮਸੀਹੀ ਧਰਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਖ਼ਾਸਕਰ ਕੈਥੋਲਿਕ ਕਲੀਸੀਆ ਅਤੇ ਚੜਦੀ ਆਰਥੋਡੋਕਸ ਕਲੀਸੀਆ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਮਰੀਅਮ ਨੂੰ ਇਮਤਹਾਈ ਅਕੀਦਤ ਅਤੇ ਇਹਤਰਾਮ ਦੀ ਨਿਗਾਹ ਨਾਲ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਤਮਾਮ ਇਨਸਾਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਉਤੱਮ ਤਸੱਵਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਇਸ ਦਾ ਮੂਲ ਹਿਬਰੂ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਹਦਾਸ (הֲדַסָה) ਇੱਕ ਰੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਧਰਮ ਦੀਆਂ ਸੱਤ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਪ੍ਰਜਾਤੀਆਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਇਕ ਹੈ।

ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਸ਼ਿਵ ਨੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਬ੍ਰਹਮਦੇਵ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਰਚੇ, ਇਸ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣਾ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇਂਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਗ੍ਰੰਥਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਚਿਤ ਅਮੁੱਲ ਗਿਆਨ ਨੂੰ ਆਮ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਚੱਲਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਹਿੱਤ ਸ਼ਿਵ ਬਾਣੀ ਗਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਅਤੇ ਸਮਾਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਦਾਚਾਰ ਦੀ ਭਾਵਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਵਧਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
