ਇਹ ਵੇਦਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਰਵਵਿਆਪੀ ਨਜ਼ਰੀਏ ਨੂੰ ਤ੍ਰਿਸਕਾਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਰਤ ਵਿਚ ਜਾਤ-ਪਾਤ ਅਤੇ ਕੱਟੜ ਦੇਸ਼ਭਗਤੀ ਦੀ ਵਿਚਾਰਧਾਰਾ ਫੈਲਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਅਸਹਿਣਸ਼ੀਲ ਅਤੇ ਤੰਗ ਸੋਚ ਹੈ।

ਧਾਰਮਿਕ ਭਿੰਨ-ਭੇਦ ਅਤੇ ਅਸਹਿਨਸ਼ੀਲਤਾ ਜ਼ੋਰਾਂ ਤੇ ਸੀ।

ਇਸ ਘਟਨਾ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਦੇ ਤੱਥਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਤਾ ਲਗਾਏ ਬਗੈਰ, ਮਹਾਤਮਾ ਗਾਂਧੀ ਵਜੋਂ ਜਾਣੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਮੋਹਨਦਾਸ ਕਰਮ ਚੰਦ ਗਾਂਧੀ ਨੇ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਜਕਾਰੀ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਦੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਨਾਲ ਸਲਾਹ ਲਏ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਅਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਅੰਦੋਲਨ ਨੂੰ ਤੁਰੰਤ ਬੰਦ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਐਲਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ।

ਪੈਨਲ 'ਤੇ ਇਕੱਲੇ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਇਨਸਾਫ ਹੋਣ ਦੇ ਬਾਵਜੂਦ ਉਸਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਅਸਹਿਮਤੀ ਭਰੇ ਫੈਸਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਨੋਟ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ “ਇਕ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਣ ਧਾਰਮਿਕ ਪ੍ਰਥਾ ਦਾ ਨਿਰਮਾਣ ਧਾਰਮਿਕ ਭਾਈਚਾਰੇ ਲਈ ਫ਼ੈਸਲਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ” ਅਤੇ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਕੋਈ ਮਾਮਲਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਿਸਦਾ ਅਦਾਲਤ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਫੈਸਲਾ ਲੈਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।
