3. ਉਪਮਾ ਅਲੰਕਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਨੇਕ ਦੋਸ਼ਾਂ ਦਾ ਅੰਕਨ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ :- ਉਪਮਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਪਮਾਨ ਦੀ ਜਾਤੀਗਤ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਣਗਤ ਨਿਉਨਤਾ(ਕਮੀ) ਅਤੇ ਅਧਿਕਤਾ ਦਾ ਦੋਸ਼ ਅਸਲ 'ਚ 'ਅਨੁਚਿਤਾਰਥਤੱਵ' ਪਦਦੋਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਮਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ;।

ਇਥੇ ਕਵੀ ਯੁੱਧ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਬਹਾਦਰੀ ਦਾ ਵਰਣਨ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਪਰ ‘ਜਾਨਵਰ’ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਕਾਇਰਤਾ, ਦੀਨਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਇਥੇ ਅਨੁਚਿਤ ਅਰਥ ਦੋਸ਼ ਹੈ।

3.9 ਅਕਾਂਡੇਛੇਦ ਦੋਸ਼- ਜਿਥੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਰਸ ਦੀ ਅਨੁਚਿਤ ਥਾਂ 'ਤੇ ਸਮਾਪਤੀ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜਾਵੇ ਜਾਂ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਰਸ ਨੂੰ ਭੰਗ ਕਰ ਦੇਣਾ, ਤੋੜ ਦੇਣਾ ਵੀ ‘ਅਕਾਂਡੇਛੇਦ’ ਰਸ ਦੋਸ਼ ਹੈ।

2.21 ਅਨੁਵਾਦ-ਅਯੁਕਤ ਦੋਸ਼- ਕਾਵਿ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਿਥੇ ਕੋਈ ਅਰਥ ਅਨੁਚਿਤ ਅਨੁਵਾਦ (ਕਥਨ) ਨਾਲ ਯੁਕਤ ਹੋਵੇ, ਭਾਵ ਇਹ ਕਿ ਵਿਧੇਯ ਦੇ ਉਲਟ ਉਦੇਸ਼ (ਅਨੁਵਾਦ) ਦੇ ਕਹਿਣ ਨੂੰ ‘ਅਨੁਵਾਦ-ਅਯੁਕਤ’ ਅਰਥ ਦੋਸ਼ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ।
