ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਇਮਾਨਦਾਰੀ ਬਾਰੇ ਮਾਸਟਰ ਤਾਰਾ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਭਾਈ ਸੰਤੋਖ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਨ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਤਾਂ ਕੌਮ ਦਾ ਧੰਨ ਹੈ।
