ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਸਰਬਲੋਹ ਰੂਪ ਇੱਕ ਪਾਸੇ ਤਾਂ ਫੌਲਾਦ ਵਾਂਗ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਕ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਦੂਸਰੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਸ਼ਸਤ੍ਰ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਕ ਹੋਣ ਕਰਕੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਟਾਂ ਦਾ ਸੰਘਾਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਤੇ ਧਰਮ ਰੱਖਿਅਕ ਹੈ।

ਗੁਰੂ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਸਤ੍ਰ ਵਿੱਦਿਆ ਸਿਖਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਚੋਣਵੇਂ ਸੂਰਮੇ ਤਿਆਰ ਕੀਤੇ ਅਤੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਇਹ ਰੁਚੀ ਦੇਖ ਕੇ ਮਾਝੇ, ਮਾਲਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਦੁਆਬੇ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਕੋਈ ਪੰਜ ਸੌ ਜੁਆਨ ਆਪ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਹੀ ਗਏ।
