ਜਦੋਂ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਉਸਦੀ ਅਮਾਨੁਸ਼ੀ ਮਾਂ ਮੇਨਕਾ ਨੇ ਤਿਆਗ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਤਾਂ ਆਕਾਸ਼ਗਾਮੀ ਪੰਛੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਚੁੱਕਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਤੱਦ ਤੱਕ ਉਸਦਾ ਪਾਲਣ – ਪੋਸਣ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਦੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਕਿ ਕੰਠ ਰਿਸ਼ੀ ਆਸ਼ਰਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੈ ਗਏ ।

ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਵਰਣ-ਵਿਵਸਥਾ ਅਤੇ ਵਰਨ ਆਸ਼ਰਮ ਦੀ ਝਾਕੀ ਵੀ ਇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ।
