ಇಂತಹ ಹಕ್ಕಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ರಣಹದ್ದುಗಳು, ಗರುಡಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಕಡಲ ಡೇಗೆಗಳು, ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಬಕಪಕ್ಷಿಗಳು ಮುಂತಾದ ಬೇಟೆಯಾಡುವ ಹಕ್ಕಿಗಳು ಸೇರಿವೆ.

ಆಕಾಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಎಷ್ಟೇ ಎತ್ತರದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾರಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರೂ ಶವಗಳ ಸುತ್ತ ದಿಢೀರನೆ ಪ್ರತ್ಯಕ್ಷವಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದ, ನಮ್ಮ ಸಾಕು ಪ್ರಾಣಿ ಹಾಗೂ ವನ್ಯಜೀವಿಗಳ ಶವಗಳನ್ನು ತಿಂದು ಊರನ್ನು ದುರ್ವಾಸನೆಯಿಂದ ರಕ್ಷಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ರಣಹದ್ದುಗಳು ಈಗ ನಿಧಾನವಾಗಿ ನಮ್ಮಿಂದ ಕಣ್ಮರೆಯಾಗುತ್ತಿವೆ.
