ಭಾಗಶಃ ಸಂಕೋಚನಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಅಂತಿಮ ಮುಚ್ಚುವಿಕೆಯು ಮುಖ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಹೊರಗಿನ ವೃತ್ತಾಕಾರದ ಪದರದ ಸ್ನಾಯು ಜೀವಕೋಶಗಳಿಂದ ಉಂಟಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.

ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜನರು ಸಂಕೋಚನಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಕಮಾರ್ಬಿಡ್ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲೆ ಇರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.

ಸಂಕೋಚನಗಳು ದೇಹದ ಹೊದಿಕೆಯ ಮತ್ತು ಉಪಹೊದಿಕೆಯ ಭಾಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿ, ಥಾಲಮಸ್, ತಳದ ಗ್ಯಾಂಗ್ಲಿಯಾ ಮತ್ತು ಮುಂಭಾಗದ ಕವಚಗಳಲ್ಲಿನ ಅಪಸಾಮಾನ್ಯವಾದ ಕ್ರಿಯೆಯ ಒಂದು ಫಲಿತಾಂಶವಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂಬುದಾಗಿ ತಿಳಿಯಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.
