ಮೊದಲ ಮಹಾಯುದ್ಧ ಮತ್ತು ಮುಂದಿನ ಯುದ್ಧದ ಆತಂಕಗಳ ಬದಲಾವಣೆಗಳಿಂದ (ಮೊಬಿಲೈಜೆಶನ್) ಕ್ಲಾನ್ ಗಳ ಬೆಳವಣಿಗೆಗೆ ಅಡ್ಡ ಪರಿಣಾಮ ಬೀರಿತು, ವಿಶೇಷವಾಗಿ ನಗರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪದೇ ಪದೇ ಹೊಸಬರು ತಮ್ಮತಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಹತ್ತಿಕ್ಕಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.

ಎರಡು ಸಾಧ್ಯತೆಗಳೆಂದರೆ ಇದರ ಅರ್ಥ “ಹೊಸದಾಗಿ ಬಂದವರು” ಅಥವಾ “ಹೊಸಬರು” ಅಥವಾ ಪರ್ಷಿಯನ್ ಪದ ನಖುಡಾದಿಂದ ಹುಟ್ಟಿಕೊಂಡಿದೆ, ಇದರರ್ಥ “ಹಡಗು ಮಾಲೀಕರು” ಅಥವಾ “ನಾಯಕ”.

ಆದರೆ ಈ ಕಲೆಯ ಪರಿಚಯವಿಲ್ಲದ ಹೊಸಬರು ಕೂಡ ಇದನ್ನು ಅರ್ಥಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಿದೆ.

ಘಜ್ನಿ ಮತ್ತು ಘೋರಿ ಸೈನ್ಯಗಳು 1193 ಮತ್ತು 1206 ರಲ್ಲಿ ದೆಹಲಿಯನ್ನು ವಶಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಪರ್ಷಿಯನ್ ಮತ್ತು ತುರ್ಕಿ ಮಾತನಾಡುವ ಹೊಸಬರು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ತಳವೂರಿದರು.
