ಗಂಡು ಭಾಗಗಳಾದ ಪರಾಗಕೋಶಗಳಿಂದ ಹೆಣ್ಣು ಭಾಗವಾದ ಓವ್ಯೂಲ್ ಗಳಿರುವ ಅಂಗಗಳಿಗೆ ಪರಾಗಗಳು ಸಾಗಿಸಲ್ಪಡುವ ಕ್ರಿಯೆಗೆ ಪರಾಗಣ ಎಂದು ಹೆಸರು.

ಜೀವ ರಸಾಯನಶಾಸ್ತ್ರ ಹೂವಿನ ಗಂಡು ಭಾಗಗಳಾದ ಕೇಸರಗಳ ತುದಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಪರಾಗಕೋಶಗಳಿಂದ ಉತ್ಪತ್ತಿಯಾಗುವ ದೂಳಿನಂತಹ ಭಾಗಗಳು ಪರಾಗಗಳು.
