ಹಾಗಾಗಿ ದಾಳಿಗೆ ತುತ್ತಾಗದ ಹಾಗೆ ನೆಲದೊಳಗಿನ ಗಟ್ಟಿಶಿಲೆಯ ಗುಹೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊರೆದು ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಕಚ್ಚಾತೈಲವನ್ನು ತುಂಬಿಸಿ ಇಡುವುದು ಆಪತ್ಕಾಲೀನ ಸುರಕ್ಷಾ ಕ್ರಮವೆನಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.

ಇದು ಅನೇಕ ಬೆಟ್ಟಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಗುಹೆಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದೆ.

ಮಲ್ಲೇಶ್ವರಗುಹೆಯ ಲಿಂಗದರ್ಶನಕ್ಕೆಂದು ಬಂದವರು ಬಂಡೆಯ ನಡುವಿನ ಗುಹೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನುಸುಳಿಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಬೇಕು.
