“मैथिलीशरण गुप्त, माखनलाल चतुर्वेदी, बालकृष्ण शर्मा नवीन, रामधारी सिंह दिनकर, रामवृक्ष बेनीपुरी या सोहनलाल द्विवेदी राष्ट्रीय नवजागरण के उत्प्रेरक ऐसे कवियों के नाम हैं, जिन्होंने अपने संकल्प और चिन्तन, त्याग और बलिदान के सहारे राष्ट्रीयता की अलख जगाकर, अपने पूरे युग को आन्दोलित किया था, गाँधी जी के पीछे देश की तरूणाई को खडा कर दिया था।
