जब कोई कंपनी एक या अनेक कारणों से नियमों का उल्लंघन करने पर डिलिस्टि कर दी जाती है तो उसके बाद वह कंपनी फिर से उन नियमों का पालन करके एक्सचेंज में अपने शेयर फिर से लिस्ट करवा लेती है।

डिलिस्टिंग अलग-अलग कारणों से होती है।

शेयर डिलिस्टि हो जाने के बाद उनके सौदे शेयर बाजार पर नहीं हो सकते।

रिलिस्टिंग : डिलिस्टिंग की तरह ही एक शब्द है रिलिस्टिंग।

इस प्रकार की डिलिस्टिंग एक सजा के रूप में या कार्रवाई के रूप में होती है, जिसका भोग उसके शेयरधारकों को भोगना पड़ता है, जिससे वे अपने शेयरों के सौदे बाजार में नहीं कर सकते और शेयरों की प्रवाहिता शून्य हो जाती है।

इस प्रकार डिलिस्टिंग शेयरधारकों एवं निवेशकों के हित में नहीं है।

कोई कंपनी डिलिस्टिंग करार का पालन नहीं करती है और डिलिस्टिंग की फीस नहीं भरती है तब एक्सचेंज पहले उसके शेयरों को सस्पेंड कर देता है उसके बाद भी यदि कंपनी निर्धारित समय के अंदर डिलिस्टिंग करार में वणि≤ शर्तों का पालन नहीं करती है तो अंत में एक्सचेंज उसके शेयरों को डिलिस्टि करने की नोटिस दे देते हैं।
