एक भाग कोक्लिआ (Chochlea) का श्रवण से संबंध हैं और दूसरा भाग (अर्धवृत्ताकार नलिकाएँ) चलने फिरने, कूदने या गिरने के समय दिशा का ज्ञान कराता है।
