अरारोट हिंदी उपयोग और उदाहरण

अरारूट अथवा अरारोट (अंग्रेजी में ऐरोरूट) एक प्रकार का स्टार्च या मंड है जो कुछ पौधों की कंदिल (ट्यूबरस) जड़ों से प्राप्त होता है।

इसके उपरांत ऐल्ब्यूमिन जल, डेक्स्ट्रोज जल, पतला अरारोट तथा बार्ली का सेवन करना चाहिए, जिससे पर्याप्त मात्रा में पेशाब को।

हिन्दी में अरारोट, बिलायती तीखुर, मराठी में आरारूट, बंगला में ओरारूट, तवक्षीर,गुजराती में तवखार, अरारोट; अंग्रेज़ी में ऍरोरूट, वेस्ट इण्डियन ऍरोरूट कहते हैं।

आयुर्वेद के अनुसार अरारोट सही पोषणकर्ता, शान्तिदायक, सुपाच्य, स्नेहजनक, सौम्य, विबन्ध (कब्ज) नाशक, दस्तावर होता है।

लगभग २०-२५ वर्ष पूर्व तक वनस्पतियों से प्राप्त रंगों या उत्पादों से ही इसका निर्माण हुआ करता था, किन्तु तबसे रसयनों के रंग आने लगे व उन्हें अरारोट में मिलाकर तीखे व चटक रंग के गुलाल बनने लगे।

केन्या में, चिप्स अरारोट तथा साबूदाना तक से बनाए जाते हैं।
