உலகளாவிய புவி சூடாதல், இயற்கை காலநிலை மாற்றம் ஆகியவற்றை உருவகப்படுத்த கணினிகளின் பயன்பாட்டை முன்னெடுத்தவர்களில் முதன்மையானவர்.

முகில் பின்னூட்டம் : சூடாதல் மூலம் முகிலின் வகையும் பரம்பலும் வேறுபடும்.

புவிசூடாதல் காரணமாக ஆர்க்டிக் சூழலில் தரக்குறைவு ஏற்படுவதால் அப்பகுதியில் வாழும் கடல்சார் பாலூட்டிகள் பாதிப்புக்கு உள்ளாகின்றன.

இவ்வாறான தாக்கத்தால், CO2 ஐவிட CO வின் புவி சூடாதல் மீதான தாக்கம் 3 மடங்காக இருப்பதாக அறியப்படுகின்றது.

குறிப்பாக புவி சூடாதல், அணு ஆயுதப் போர், உயிரிப் பயங்கரவாதம் போன்றவை இத்தகையவை.

வளி மண்டலத்தில் N2O ஒரு பசுமை இல்ல வாயுவாக இருக்கிறது, தற்சமயம் இதுதான் கரியமில வாயு மற்றும் மீத்தேனுக்குப் பிறகு புவி சூடாதல் மூன்றாவது மிகப் பெரிய பங்களிப்பாக இருக்கிறது.

புவி சூடாதல் விளைவுகளை தடுப்பதற்கு இப்போதைக்குள்ள முறைகளாக வெப்பம் சிக்குறுத்தும் வளிமங்களின் உமிழ்வைக் குறைத்தல், சூடாதல் காரணமாக ஏற்படும் விளைவுகளிற்கு ஏற்வாறு மாறிக்கொள்ளல் என்பன முக்கியமானவையாகும்.

அத்தொகையைக் கொண்டு, புவி சூடாதல் நிலையைச் சீர்படுத்தவும், புத்தாயிரம் ஆண்டு வளர்ச்சி இலக்குகளை அடைய அனைத்துச் செலவுகளை ஏற்கவும், ஐரோப்பாவில் கிரீசு, அயர்லாந்து, போர்த்துகல் போன்ற நாடுகளின் கடன் பிரச்சினையைத் தீர்க்கவும், 2011இல் சப்பானில் நிகழ்ந்த ஆழிப்பேரலையால் உண்டான அழிவைச் சமாளித்து மறுவாழ்வு கொணரவும் முடிந்திருக்கும்.

கூடுதலான ஆய்வுகள் 2100 ஆம் ஆண்டு வரை கருதியே செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளன எனினும், வெப்பம் சிக்குறுத்தும் வளிமங்களின் உமிழ்வு முற்றாக நிறுத்தப்பட்டாலும் பெருங்கடல்களின் பாரிய வெப்பக்கொள்ளளவு, வளிமண்டலத்தில் கரியமில வளிமத்தின் நீண்ட ஆயுட்காலம் என்பவற்றைக் கருதும் போது 2100 ஆம் ஆண்ட்டுக்கு அப்பாலும் புவி சூடாதல் தொடரும் என எதிர்பார்க்கப்படுகிறது.

When the vulcanization of rubber is carried too far, from the presence of a very large proportion of sulphur and an unduly long action of heat, the caoutchouc becomes hard, horn-like, and often black.

Sheets sulphured in this way can be made up into articles and joined together either by warming the parts to be united, or by means of indiarubber solution; after which the true vulcanization, or " curing," as it is termed, can be brought about in the usual way.

When a manufactured article has been saturated with sulphur in the melted sulphur bath, the heat necessary for vulcanization may be obtained either by highpressure steam, by heated glycerin, or by immersion in a sulphur bath heated to about 140° C.

Rubber hardened by over-vulcanization is largely manufactured under the name of ebonite or vulcanite.
