இத்தலத்தில் மௌனகுரு சுவாமிகள் என்ற சித்தர் பல காலங்களுக்கு முன்னர் இங்கு சீவசமாதி நிலை அடைந்துள்ளார் அவருக்கென தனிக்கோயில் உள்ளது.

சவிகல்ப சமாதி நிலையில் களிமண்ணினால் செய்யப்பட்ட யாணை போன்றவை (பொம்மை யாணை) தோண்றிக் கொண்டிருந்தாலும், அத்துடன் களிமண்ணும் தோண்றிக் கொண்டிருப்பதைப் போல, பன்மையான இவ்வுலகமானது (துவைத பிரபஞ்சம்) தோண்றிக் கொண்டிருந்தாலும் இரண்டற்ற அத்வைத பிரம்ம வஸ்துவும்உணரப்படுகிறது.

இந்த ஊரில் பழனிச்சாமி (எ) இயற்பெயரை உடைய அழுக்கு மூட்டைச் சாமி என்ற யோகியார் ஒருவர் வாழ்ந்து கடந்த 2014 ல் சமாதி நிலை அடைந்தார்.

பின் குகைகளிலேயே இறைவனுடன் கலந்து ஜீவசமாதி நிலையை அடைந்தனர்.

சமாதி நிலையை அடையும் காலத்தினை முன்பே தெரிவித்து 1900ம் ஆண்டு ஜூலை 12ம் தேதி பவுர்ணமி நாளில் வியாழக்கிழமையன்று ஜீவசமாதியடைந்தார்.
