2013 இறப்புகள் தைனோ சடங்கு இருக்கை என்பது, ஒரு மனிதன் நான்கு கால்களில் நிற்பது போன்ற வடிவில் அமைந்து ஒரு கொலம்பசுக்கு முற்பட்டகால, மரத்தாலான இருக்கை ஆகும்.

தைனோ மக்களால் உருவாக்கப்பட்ட இது, டொமினிக்கன் குடியரசின் சாந்தோ டொமிங்கோ நகருக்கு அண்மையில் உள்ள குகை ஒன்றிலிருந்து கண்டெடுக்கப்பட்டது.

டைஸ்கோரடிசின் உரைக்கு மேலதிகமாக இந்நூலில் Carmen de herbis எனப்பட்ட பிளதெல்பியாவின் தைனோசியசின் நிலைத்திணைப்பற்றிய ஆவணமும், நீகண்டரின் பாம்புக்கடிகான மருந்துகளின் ஆவனமும் இதில் இணைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன.

ஓரணு உயிரியை எதிர்க்கும் ஆர்சுதைனோல் மற்றும் அசிட்டார்சோன் போன்றவற்றை தயாரிக்கவும் பயன்படுத்தப்படுகிறது.

கியூபாவின் முன்னாள் ஜனாதிபதி ஆல்பிரடோ சயாஸ் அல்போன்சோ அஜியாக்கோவைப் பற்றி குறிப்பிடும் போது அது ”அஜி” என்ற தைனோ மொழியிலிருந்து  பயன்படுத்தத் தொடங்கியிருக்கிறார்கள் என்று எழுதியுள்ளார்.

”அஜி” என்பதற்கு தைனோ மொழியில் ”காரமான மிளகு” என்று பெயர்.

இவ்விருக்கை கிறித்தோபர் கொலம்பசு கரிபியக் கரையில் இறங்குவதற்கு முன் செய்யப்பட்டது என்பதுடன், ஐரோப்பியரின் வருகைக்கு முந்தியகால தைனோ பண்பாடு, நாகரிகம் ஆகியவற்றின் முக்கியமான எச்சங்களுள் ஒன்றாகவும் விளங்குகிறது.

இலம்பிலிக்கசு என்பவர் குழப்பத்தைத் தீர்க்க, தைனோ தான் பிராண்டினசின் மனைவி என்கிறார்.

இவரின் தந்தையின் பெயர் தைனோ என்பர்.

தென் அமெரிக்காவின் பழங்குடிகளாகிய தைனோ (Taino) என்பவர் மொழியில் இவானா ("Iwana") என்னும் சொல்லில் இருந்து எசுப்பானிய மொழி இச்சொல்லைப் பெற்றது".
