இப்பெரிய கடற்குதிரை ஆத்திரேலியாவில் கண்டறியப்பட்டது .

உலகில் வாழும் பெரிய கடற்குதிரைகளுள் இதுவும் ஒன்றாகும்.

கடற்குதிரை இராஷ்டிரிய இராணுவப் பள்ளி (Rashtriya Military School Bangalore) இந்தியாவின் கர்நாடகா மாநிலத் தலைநகரம் பெங்களூருவில் அமைந்த உண்டு, உறைவிடப் பள்ளி ஆகும்.

சீனாவின் பாரம்பரிய மருத்துவ பயன்பாட்டிற்காக ஏற்றுமதி செய்யப்படும் கடல் குதிரைகளின் எண்ணிக்கை கடந்த சில ஆண்டுகளில் அதிகரித்து இது ஆண்டு ஒன்றிற்கு 600,000 கடற்குதிரைகளாக அதிகரித்துள்ளது.
