ஸ்னோபாலை பண்ணையை விட்டு வெளியே துரத்தியதற்குப் பின் நெப்போலியன் ஸ்குவீலரின் உதவி கொண்டு தவறான கருத்துக்களைப் பரப்பி மற்றும் தன் நாய்களைக்கொண்டு அடக்குமுறையைக் கையாண்டு முழு அதிகாரத்தையும் எடுத்துக்கொள்கிறது.

பொருள் முதல் வாதம் பேசிய காரல் மார்க்சு எங்கெல்சு ஆகியோர் பாலியல் வல்லாண்மையையும் அடக்குமுறையையும் பற்றிக் கண்டுகொள்ளவும் இல்லை; அவற்றைப் பற்றி பேசவும் இல்லை.

சர்வாதிகார அடக்குமுறை சார் மன்னரின் ஆட்சிக்கு எதிராக இந்த இடைக்கால அரசு உரிமைகளை செயலாக்கும் சீர்திருத்தங்களை மேற்கொள்ளும் என மக்கள் எதிர்பார்த்தனர்.

குறிப்பாக கனடிய ஈழத் தமிழர்களால் இலங்கையில் மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்ட பல்வேறு அடக்குமுறைகளுக்கு எதிரான அரசியல் நகர்வுகள், எதிர்ப்புப் போராட்டங்கள் இதில் முக்கியம் பெறுகின்றன.

நீதி புறக்கணிக்கப்பட்டிருந்த யூத சமுதாயத்தில், தவறான முறையில் மக்கள் மீது அடக்குமுறைகளைத் திணித்த பணக்காரர்களையும், சமய மற்றும் அரசியல் தலைவர்களையும் இயேசு கடுமையாகக் கண்டித்தார்.
