இதனால், தாக்கு நிரலர்கள் சங்கிலியைத் தாக்க சற்று தயங்குகின்றனர்.

இந்தப் பாத்திரமே அசலான ஆர்தர் என அவர் நம்பினாலும், வரலாற்றாசிரியர்களும் செல்ட்டிக் ஆய்வாளர்களும் ஆஷ் அளிக்கும் இவ்வாறான முடிவுகளை ஏற்கத் தயங்குகின்றனர்.

சிலர் தமக்கு உளவள ஆலோசனை அவசியம் என அறிந்தாலும், உளச்சிகிச்சை என்பது சமூகத்தில் இழிவான ஒன்றாகப் பார்க்கப்படுவதால், அதில் ஈடுபடுவதற்குத் தயங்குகின்றனர்.

இன்றேல் இது பெரியோருக்கானதெனின் அவர்களுடன் சேர்ந்து (மது) அருந்தக்கூட நான் தயங்குவேன்" என்று குறிப்பிட்டார்.

ஆனால் தன் தாயிக்கு குத்துச் சண்டை மீதான வெறுப்பின் காரணமாக கபிலன் ஆரம்பத்தில் தயங்குகிறான்.
