இதைப் பரிதிப்பெருமாளும் பரிமேலழகரும் செய்வதற்கு முன்னரே மணக்குடவர் செய்துள்ளார்.

எடுத்துக்காட்டாக, வட்டத்தின் சுற்றளவு அல்லது பரிதி P என்பதை P 2{\pi}r என்னும் வாய்பாட்டால் குறிப்பர்.

அங்குதான் பரிதிமாற் கலைஞரின் அறிமுகம் கிடைத்தது.
