மேலும் அவர் தூண்டுதிறன் வேகத்தோடு நேர் விகிதத்தில் அமைவதாகக் கருதினார்; இக்கருத்து நவீன உந்தக் கருத்துருவோடு பலவாறு ஒத்துப்போவது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.

இதன் அச்சு விண்துருவம் அல்லாத இன்னொரு திசையை நோக்கி இருக்கும்படி வேகமாகச் சுலழச்செய்யும்போது கோண உந்தக் காப்பு விதிக்கு அமைய அச்சின் திசை மாறாமல் இருக்கும்.

இதனை உந்தக்காப்பு விதி என்று அழைப்போம்.

கோண உந்தக் காப்பான்மை மையநோக்கு விசை இயக்கங்களை அலசியாய்வதில் பெரிதும் பயன்படுத்தப் படுகின்றது.

இயற்பியலில், கோண உந்தம் (angular momentum) (அரிதாக, உந்தத் திருப்புமை (moment of momentum) அல்லது சுழற்சி உந்தம் (rotational momentum)) என்பது நேரியக்க உந்தக் கருத்துப்படிமத்தின் சுழற்சியியக்க ஒப்புமையாகும்.

இது உந்தக் காப்பு விதி (law of conservation of momentum) என அழைக்கப்படுகிறது.
