ಹಿಂದೂ ಧರ್ಮಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದಂತೆ ತಾಲ್ಲೂಕಿನ ಕಾಪನಹಳ್ಳಿ ಗವಿಮಠದಲ್ಲಿ ೧೩ನೆಯ ಶತಮಾನದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಪವಾಡಪುರುಷ ಎನಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ ಸ್ವತಂತ್ರ ಸಿದ್ದಲಿಂಗೇಶ್ವರರು ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಐಕ್ಯವಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎನ್ನಲಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಅವರ ಗದ್ದುಗೆ ಸಹ ಇಲ್ಲಿದೆ.
