জজজ यह एक ध्वन्यात्मक लिपि है जो प्रचलित लिपियों (रोमन, अरबी, चीनी आदि) में सबसे अधिक वैज्ञानिक है।

स्वर और व्यंजन में तर्कसंगत एवं वैज्ञानिक क्रम-विन्यास - देवनागरी के वर्णों का क्रमविन्यास उनके उच्चारण के स्थान (ओष्ठ्य, दन्त्य, तालव्य, मूर्धन्य आदि) को ध्यान में रखते हुए बनाया गया है।

जिस प्रकार भारतीय अंकों को उनकी वैज्ञानिकता के कारण विश्व ने सहर्ष स्वीकार कर लिया वैसे ही देवनागरी भी अपनी वैज्ञानिकता के कारण ही एक दिन विश्वनागरी बनेगी।
