इससे संतुलन या सममिति बनाए रखने का एवं सरोवर की स्थिति ऐसे निर्धारण करने का, कि जिससे प्रतिबिम्ब ठीक उसमें प्रतीत हो; शाहजहाँ का जुनून स्पष्ट दिखाई पड़ता था।

(२) देवनागरी किसी भी लिपि की तुलना में अधिक वैज्ञानिक एवं व्यवस्थित लिपि है।
