जगंली जानवरों में भालू, सुअर, लिडक्स, वेदगर, गीदड़, लोमड़ी, जंगली बिल्ली तथा नेवला आदि हैं।

अंग्रेज रम्फियस के अनुसार सर्पगंधा वही पौधा है जिसका सेवन कर नेवला विषैले सर्प द्वारा काटे जाने पर भी अपने प्राणों की रक्षा कर लेता है।
