मैन्ग्रोव की रचना ही कुछ अलग प्रकार की है  उष्णकटिबंधी विस्तारो में 70 % दरियाई धरती पर 110 जात की मैनग्रोव की झाड़ियां मौजूद है।

इसे उन्होंने इसलिए चुना था क्योंकि सदाबहार काटेदार झाड़ी शत्रु से बदला लेना का प्रतीक मानी जाती है।

दक्षिणी यूरोप के भूमध्य सागरीय प्रदेश में जहाँ भूमध्यसागरीय जलवायु पाइ जाती है वहाँ चौड़ी पत्ती वाले सदाबहार वन मिलते हैं।

एक प्राचीन सदाबहार दलदल के अवशेष जो 7,000 साल पुराने है, दुबई इंटरनेट सिटी (Dubai Internet City) की सीवर लाइन के निर्माण के दौरान पाये गए . यह क्षेत्र 5,000 साल पहले समुद्र तट पीछे हट जाने से रेत से ढका हुआ था और शहर के वर्तमान समुद्र तट का एक हिस्सा बन गया था।

यह चोटी सदाबहार जंगलों से भरी पड़ी है।

अधिकतर ऑस्ट्रेलियाई काष्ठीय पौधों की जातियाँ सदाबहार है और कई आग और सुखा के अनुकूल है, जिसमे नीलगिरी और बबूल शामिल है।

इसे सोच समझकर हैरी की छड़ी के समान अक्ष वाला बनाया गया, जो कि एक सदाबहार काटेदार झाड़ी से बनी थी।

यहाँ अनेक प्रकार के आवर्धित फल के पेड़, छुहारा, सदाबहार वृक्ष तथा मस्तगी (mastic) के वृक्ष हैं।

इसके समीप बहता हुआ झरना और सदाबहार जंगल बहुत ही आकर्षक हैं।
