यह बात और है कि किसी ‘थाट’ में कोमल और किसी में तीव्र स्वर होंगे या मिले-जुले स्वर होंगे।

इस तरह सात शुद्ध स्वर, चार कोमल और एक तीव्र मिलकर बारह स्वर तैयार होते हैं।
