यद्यपि जब किसी चल चित्र के भाग के रूप में राष्‍ट्र गान को किसी समाचार की गतिविधि या संक्षिप्‍त चलचित्र के दौरान बजाया जाए तो श्रोताओं से अपेक्षित नहीं है कि वे खड़े हो जाएं, क्‍योंकि उनके खड़े होने से फिल्‍म के प्रदर्शन में बाधा आएगी और एक असंतुलन और भ्रम पैदा होगा तथा राष्‍ट्र गान की गरिमा में वृद्धि नहीं होगी।
