इनके अधीन सात-सात 'ताल्लुकेदार' या 'तालुद्दार' होते थे (जन साधारण की भाषा में ये 'दाऊ' कहलाते थे) जो कि अपने अपने ताल्लुके के शासक होते थे।

उनके पिता का नाम मलिक राजे अशरफ़ बताया जाता है और कहा जाता है कि वे मामूली ज़मींदार थे और खेती करते थे।
