विपश्यना एक प्रकार की साधना है जिसे भगवान बुद्ध ने ढाई हजार साल पहले खोजा था यह मनुष्य के दुखों के निवारण करने की एक प्रक्रिया है इस शिक्षा के द्वारा मनुष्य स्वयं के द्वारा अपने दुखों पर नियंत्रण कर सकता है यह जानने योग्य बात है कि यह ज्ञान भारत से लगभग 2000 साल पहले राजनीतिक परिवर्तन के कारण विलुप्त हो गया था।
