यदि ऑरिक क्लोराइड (Au Cl3) अथवा क्लोरोआरिक अम्ल (HAuCl4) पर क्षारीय हाइड्रोक्साइड की क्रिया की जाए तो ऑरिक हाइड्राक्साइड {Au (OH)3} बनता है जिसे गरम करने पर आराइल हाइड्राक्साइड Au O (O H) आरिक ऑक्साइड (Au2 O3) और (Au2 O2) और तत्पश्चात्‌ स्वर्ण धातु बच रहती है।

नाइट्रिक आक्साइड, फेरस तथा मैंगनस हाइड्राक्साइड का आक्सीकरण साधारण ताप पर ही होता है।
