कासनी गांव के लोगों को विष्णु मन्दिर में पूजा अर्चना व देख-रेख के लिए स्थानीय निवासी कसनीयालों के पूर्वजों को कत्यूरी राजवँश द्वारा काशी से लाया गया था और यह काशी के विशेष पंडितो में से थे।
