कई दशकों तक वे अनेक पत्रों का संपादन कर चुके थे जिसमे हरिजन, इंडियन ओपिनियन, यंग इंडिया आदि सम्मिलित हैं।

इस संस्करण को हिंदी में छापने के दो उद्देश्य हैं।

इसके बाद उन्होंने लगभग छह वर्षों तक हिंदी पत्रिका माधुरी का संपादन किया।
